How to make alerts bypass "Do Not Disturb" mode

iOS:

1. Open the "Contacts" app on your phone
2. Start creating a new contact for the SimpleSENCE alert number (442-777-6267) – all SimpleSENCE text alerts will come from this same number.
3. Assign a custom ringtone to this new contact - we recommend choosing a ringtone that sounds like an alarm or something similar.
4. Save the new contact.
5. In your list of Contacts, find the new contact you just created and select it.
6. Select "Edit" to make changes to the contact card.
7. Select "Text tone"
8. Toggle "Emergency Bypass"

Android: (may vary depending on Android device)

1. Open the "Contacts" app on your phone
2. Start creating a new contact for the SimpleSENCE alert number (442-777-6267) – all SimpleSENCE text alerts will come from this same number.
3. Assign a custom ringtone/text tone to this new contact - we recommend choosing an option that sounds like an alarm or something similar.
4. Save the new contact.
5. In your list of Contacts, find the new contact you just created and select it.
6. Select the star icon to add this contact to your starred contacts.
7. Close the "Contacts" app and open your phone's Settings
8. On the Settings screen, scroll down and select "Sound"
9. On the next screen, select "Do Not Disturb"
10. On the next screen, select "Priority-only Settings"
11. On the next screen, select "Messages", then choose "From Starred Contacts Only"
