After a sensor has been installed, you can view its battery level and WIFI signal strength from the Sensors page in the mobile app. In some cases the signal strength value does not show up immediately, however this can be resolved by following the steps listed below.
1. Trigger a notification from your sensor by holding your finger across the metal sensing strips for 10-15 seconds. If you do not hear the siren, make sure the sensor has been fully installed and the batteries are not dead.
2. Make sure notifications get delivered to the contacts you've added to the sensor's notification list. If notifications do not get delivered, reset WIFI for your sensor and test it again. Please see this article for steps on how to reset a WIFI for your sensor.
3. Refresh the SimpleSENCE app by exiting the app and restarting it.
Once the app restarts you should see an updated signal strength value for that sensor. If this does not resolve the issue, or if you have any other questions, please give us a call at 877-467-5333.
